The First-Ever Chevrolet Silverado EV | Coming Soon | Bangor, ME
Change can be a difficult thing — but not when it’s coming from Chevrolet. This trailblazing automaker is changing the truck market with the launch of the first-ever Silverado EV, an all-electric pickup that makes zero concessions and zero compromises. Here’s a taste of what to expect when the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV arrives at Quirk Chevrolet of Bangor.
Amazing range in Maine
Chevrolet has a lot of expectations to meet when it comes to bringing an all-electric Silverado to the people. Based on the numbers alone, it’s safe to say that those expectations have not only been well-met but blown out of the water.
According to General Motors, the Ultium EV Platform allows the 2024 Silverado EV WT and RST to travel up to 400 miles on a full charge, and the 4WT to reach 450 miles.[1]
Charging your 2024 Silverado EV in Maine will be easy as well with options for 120-volt, 240-volt, and DC public fast-charging methods. With the latter, GM estimates you’ll be able to recoup 100 miles of range in just 10 minutes at one of more than 40,000 public stations around the country.[2]
Incredible strength for tough jobs at the harbor
When you think of the Chevrolet Silverado, you think of raw power and exhilarating performance. Without question, the first-ever Chevrolet Silverado EV sets a new standard for what’s possible in a Chevy truck.
The 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV RST is available with a feature called Wide Open Watts, which pushes performance to the next level. Wide Open Watts allows the Silverado EV to generate up to 754 horsepower and 785 lb-ft of torque, allowing you to sprint from 0-60 mph in just 4.5 seconds.[3]
With this power channeled to all four wheels via e4WD, the Chevrolet Silverado EV is also an incredible workhorse. Silverado EV RST trucks will deliver 10,000 pounds of maximum towing,[4] and a future iteration of the WT will double that amount to 20,000 pounds.[5]
And thanks to an Automatic Adaptive Air Suspension that can raise the suspension up to 2 inches and four-wheel steering capabilities, the Silverado EV will prove capable and reliable for weekend adventuring off-road.
Stunning style inside and out
There’s an aura to the Silverado EV that’s undeniably Chevrolet. This pickup truck advances the Silverado aesthetic with a fresh new take on a beloved look that adds in a bold face with innovative lighting, an aerodynamic body, and options like 24-inch aluminum wheels.
Like any Silverado, the 2024 Silverado EV finds that sweet spot between form and function. The aerodynamic shape helps maximize its range and power while amplifying its presence. Thanks to options like a Multi-Flex Tailgate and all-new Multi-Flex Midgate, the Silverado EV will be able to store items up to 10 feet long.
Available as a Crew Cab, the Silverado EV is also an inspired choice for families. With spacious seating, premium materials, and a panoramic fixed-glass roof, the Silverado EV feels open and accommodating even with up to five people in the cabin.
Impressively smart features
With a truck this advanced, you can expect to get the very best technology that Chevrolet has to offer. One of the highlights of the stylish 2024 Silverado EV cabin is its cockpit, which includes a 17-inch-diagonal freeform LCD infotainment display with Google built-in. This screen — as well as an 11-inch-diagonal digital display and a 14-inch head-up display — help you feel in full control anywhere in Maine.
The same can be said for the technologies included in standard Chevy Safety Assist. Technologies like Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning and Front Pedestrian Braking boost your confidence whether you’re cruising through Portland or hitting the coastal highway. When you’re headed out of town into the rest of New England, available Super Cruise™ lets you relax with your hands off the wheel and enjoy the ride that much more.
